The text captures foreigners’ perspectives on Japan (hence the inclusion of Gaikokujin in the title), seamlessly blending personal insights and experiences with factual data and contributions from various specialists across Japanese culture. To deepen the social analysis, I conducted a dedicated international survey through specialized market research firms. The sample spans Romania, several European nations (Poland, Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom), and the USA, with the key findings featured in the final chapter.

The book is structured into four main sections, each containing nine chapters—making 36 in total. This number was not chosen at random; I will leave it to you to guess the reason behind this choice! 🙂
